Snow Lion Door

This beautiful monastery door handle was draped with the distinctive blue Khatas (prayer scarves) of Mongolian Buddhist areas. The Snow Lion is the national symbol of Tibet and a protector of Buddha. In exchange for permitting me to use her photograph of the subject, my fellow traveler M. MacPherson received a matted print of the painting.
